McKENZIE (November 19) — Students from Bethel University’s Psychology 211: Human Development class exhibited a semester’s worth of research and creative planning during the “Designing for the Developing Mind” showcase at The Happy Book Stack in November. The event provided a platform for students to present their unique projects that combine developmental theory with practical design applications.
Throughout the semester, students explored various aspects of human development, focusing on how design can influence psychological growth and learning. Each project reflected a deep understanding of developmental milestones and the ways in which environment and interaction can shape cognitive and emotional development.
Attendees had the opportunity to engage with the students and ask questions about their research methodologies and findings. The showcase not only highlighted the students' hard work but also emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in psychology and education. The event was a resounding success, fostering a rich dialogue about the intersection of design and developmental psychology.
